With a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Toronto\, Dr. Vervaeke served as the former Director of Cognitive Science and holds the position of Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology. He has won and been nominated for several teaching awards and has published articles on relevance realization\, general intelligence\, mindfulness\, flow\, metaphor\, and wisdom. With expertise in both Eastern and Western philosophy\, Dr. Vervaeke guides learners through a transformative journey\, integrating ancient wisdom with modern scientific insights. Dr. Vervaeke’s courses are a captivating blend of theoretical knowledge and practical wisdom\, and his dynamic teaching style engages students in exploring the depths of the mind and its implications for personal growth and societal change\, illuminating the path to a deeper understanding of oneself and the world.
