James van Leeuwen

James van Leeuwen is a student of consciousness, cosmology and complexity science.

Formally educated in astrophysics, James is a lifelong resident of Canada’s southern Rocky Mountain headwaters and works part-time in summer months as an interpretive trail guide in Paahtómahksikimi (Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta). His three decades of consulting, volunteering and social and private entrepreneurship have focused on helping rural and remote communities build capacity for socioeconomic regeneration.

A regular participant in Pari Center programming, James is now actively supporting Pari’s aspirations to advance and expand the practice of Gentle Action.
