Longing for Wholeness August 27-September 3, 2024
Deadline for Application: March 31. We will announce the recipients of the scholarship on April 15.

Thanks to the generous funding from a European foundation, we now have the opportunity to offer six scholarships a year to attend our in-person events at the Pari Center.

Our two main annual events in Pari are held in June, focusing on Consciousness, and early September, which has the theme of Science, the Arts, and the Sacred. Please consult our website under Past Events for the topics and details of the presentations of our previous gatherings.

In-person events in Pari run for seven days with a team of about six to eight presenters who are eminent scholars in their fields. The mornings are dedicated to more formal presentations, in-depth, un-rushed lectures in a variety of styles and formats, followed by general discussion. The afternoon sessions often take the form of workshops, informal discussion, experiential activities, or an excursion.

Reflecting the spirit of our in-person gatherings, presenters and participants mix naturally—in fact we have found that some of the more interesting discussions and conversations take place at mealtimes or over a glass of wine. Successful candidates will experience that kinship too.

In addition to the educational opportunities that the Pari Center has to offer, you will experience what life is like in a small, remote, hilltop village in Tuscany which has changed little in outward appearance since medieval times. The food is locally sourced, and the dishes served are traditional from this region. During the afternoons or early mornings, you can take time for walks in the beautiful surrounding countryside or visit the sulphur hot springs located below the village.

The scholarship will cover the conference fee, accommodation, meals, materials, and any excursions, but it will not cover travel expenses to Pari, Italy. Selected grantees are required to stay for the entire duration of the event.

Scholarships will be granted preferably to young minds, since one of the goals of this programme is to increase the diversity of age groups in our in-person events. We will consult with our advisors in order to select the candidates for each of our two main events.

Following your stay in Pari we require you to submit a short report (which will be published in Pari Perspectives and on our website) entitled: ‘What I came with, what I left with.’
